A Sad Girl

Helen and Brandon were listening to music in the living room that evening. Their daughter, Jane, came out of her room and joined them.
Jane : "Mom, dad, why do parents get divorced?"
Helen was curious : "Why do you ask?"

Jane : "Grace was sad this morning. She told me that her parents got divorced."
Helen : "That's unfortunate, dear. Well, they do that because they don't love each other anymore."

Jane : "And why is that?"
Brandon : "Because they stop seeing the good quality of each other. It hurts when it happens. That's why your friend Grace was sad."

Jane : "I am glad that you love each other, mom, dad."
Brandon smiled : "Not only do your mom and dad love each other, we also love you, sweet heart."

Jane : "I love you too, mom, dad."
