Alice : “Daddy, I don’t want to go to school tomorrow.”
Bob : “What’s the matter? Are you feeling unwell?”
Alice : “I am alright. It’s just that tomorrow every student has to talk in front of the class.”
Bob : “That’s good, daddy used to do that too at school. Do you have to talk about specific topics?”
Alice : “We can talk about our family, our hobbies, our pets … anything at all.”
Bob : “That’s easy, you have plenty to talk about then. Why don’t you want to go to school tomorrow?”
Alice : “The whole class will be looking at me. I will be very nervous. Can you imagine how scary that is? I don’t think I can do it, daddy.”
Bob laughed : “You will never know until you do it. Give daddy a call tomorrow after school and tell me how you go, okay?”
The next day Alice called her daddy after school.
Alice : “Daddy, it was fun and I did okay.”
Bob smiled : “That’s good to hear.”
