Helen : “Bobby, if I give you 1 orange and 1 orange and another orange, how many oranges will you have?”
Bobby : “1+1+1 = 3, I will have 3 oranges. Miss.”
Helen : “That's right, very good. Julie, if I give you 1 apple and another apple, how many apples will you have?”
Julie : “1+1+1 = 3, I will have 3 apples, Miss.”
Helen : “Wrong answer. Try again.”
Julie : “Your question is how many apples I will have. I bring with me 1 apple from home in my bag. So if you give me 1 apple and another apple, I will have a total of 1+1+1 =3 apples.”
Helen (smile) : “Ah, I see. In that case you are right. Very good.”
Julie : “Thank you, Miss.”
