Jeff : "Dad, if we believe something is true, then it will be true. Is that so?"
John : "If what we believe stands the tests of time, then it is. Why the question?"
Jeff : "My friend, Darren, said that. He wants to stay young forever, so he makes himself believe that he will not grow old."
John laughed : "That is silly. You don't happen to agree with him, do you?"
Jeff : "Of course not. I just want to know how you look at it."
John : "It is always good to test and prove any idea or belief, son. If it agrees with how the nature works, then you can take it."
Jeff : "Why the nature, dad?"
John : "Because the nature never lies, son."
